Kathy Foster

Hello Hart Families,

I am so happy to begin my 3rd year in Lovejoy ISD and my 21st year education. It seems like just yesterday I began my first year of teaching in Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD. My first five years in education I was a middle school English, Theater Arts and Gifted and Talented teacher at Vivian Field Middle School. After completing my Masters Degree, I moved to McKinney ISD and remained there for teh next 13 years. I began in McKinney as an Academic Specialist at Faubion Middle School and after two years moved into the Assistant Principal position where I remained for the next three years. In the year 2000 I received my first principal position and opened Wolford Elementary. Two years later I became the principal at Caldwell Elementary where I remained for six years prior to coming to Lovejoy ISD.

On a personal note, I am married to Toby Foster and we will be celebrating our 17^th wedding anniversary this year! Add to that the six years we dated before getting married and we have been together a long time! We spend all of our free time with our three wonderful boys: Corbin, Caden and Cole. Most days we are transporting the boys to and from practices and games for their never ending sports events, but given the opportunity, we wouldn’t change a thing! Add to the bunch a golden lab named Cooper, and a little mutt named Katy and you have officially been introduced to the Foster Family!  We are also very fortunate to live close to all of our extended family and not a day goes by without a chance for us to visit with grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins!

Hart is a very special place and I consider it an honor to be a part of such an amazing family. I tell everyone I know that being a principal is the best job in the whole world! Each day I am able to greet kiddos with a hug or a high five, visit classrooms and participate in student learning opportunities as well as celebrate student successes! Thank you for the opportunity to serve as your principal!
